As shown in the table of "name associations,” he cast his net fairly widely—but not as far out as some of the following! This list was sent to Dr. Henry Skinner, Director of the U.S. National Arboretum, for comment; Skinner replied in gentlemanly fashion that it was “interesting.”]

The epithet “Monique” was tentatively used for the plant registered as ‘Dorothy Rees’; “Pooker” was used in the epithet ‘Peter Pooker’.
